DESCRIPTION:\nBeverley Enterprise Centre, Beck View Rd, Beverley, East Yorkshire HU17 0JT\n\nITC Level 3 8hr/16hr Hour Outdoor First Aid Course.\nThe ITC course provides a safe and systematic approach to first aid and covers the practical skills needed by those who work or spend time in a more remote environments. This first aid qualification will keep most National Governing Body Instructor awards valid. \nThis 2 day course is divided into two units: \nUnit 1: Outdoor Emergency Action \nUnit 2: Outdoor Incident Management \nOver the 2 days the course will cover the following: \n• Vital signs \n• Managing own safety in outdoor first aid situations \n• Contacting emergency services \n• Assessment of casualty \n• Accident procedure \n• CPR protocols for cardiac arrest and drowning \n• Use of AED \n• Bleeding and Shock \n• Dealing with fractures, head, neck and torso injuries \n• Medical emergencies, including seizures, strokes, diabetes and asthma \n• Hypothermia and hyperthermia \n• Bites, stings and outdoor related infections such as Weil’s Disease \n• Triage and incident management \nCourse duration and assessment: \n2 days (16 hours) 9.00am – 6pm both days \nAssessment is ongoing throughout. There will be lots of practical based scenarios for you to practise and apply your skills in an outdoor setting. \nCost: £120 per person. Contact me for group discounts.
