This first aid qualification will keep most National Governing Body Instructor awards valid. \nThis 1-day course includes:\nUnit 1: Outdoor Emergency Action \n• Vital signs \n• Managing own safety in outdoor first aid situations \n• Contacting emergency services \n• Assessment of casualty \n• Accident procedure \n• CPR protocols for cardiac arrest and drowning \n• Use of AED \n• Bleeding and Shock \n• Hypothermia and hyperthermia \n• Bites, stings and outdoor related infections such as Weil’s Disease \n• Triage and incident management \nCourse duration and assessment: \n 9am – 6pm\nAssessment is ongoing throughout. There will be lots of practical based scenarios for you to practise and apply your skills in an outdoor setting. \nCost: £120 per person.
