This one-day emergency first aid course is designed to provide you with the emergency first aid skills to look after a casualty at work. It is suitable for smaller and lower risk workplaces.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The  Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid for Schools and Colleges qualification covers the following:

• Roles and Responsibilities of the first aider
• Minimising risk in an emergency situation
• Safe Accident Procedures
• Safe Airway Positions
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of AEDs
• Dealing with Choking
• Treatment for bleeding and Shock
• Appropriate First Aid Kit Use
• Completing Accident Forms

Course Duration & Assessment: The qualification consists of one unit. The training and assessment typically consists of a one day (6+ hour) course leading to the qualification and students are assessed continuously by tutor observation of ‘real-life’ skills which have been benchmarked to National Occupational Standards.

This certificate is valid for three years. Certificate renewal is by completion of another Emergency First Aid at Work training course.
