“I’m passionate about teaching people to save lives and I have created the multi-award winning Act Fast Challenge for schools.
Having spent over 25 years teaching in further education, it was a natural and easy choice to specialise my business to work with schools, universities and young people.
When I’m not working, you will find me canoeing on the water and I love spending time in the Lake District. I am also a UKCC Level 2 Canoe and Kayak Coach and volunteer with schools to complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award.”
“As an experienced HR and admin professional with a varied background gained from working with multiple companies, I bring a wealth of experience to the Act Fast team.
With a passion for customer service and providing high level assistance, my role is varied – creating systems, liaising with potential clients and marketing have all been recent projects.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking, running, my family and food! I am a keen runner and belong to a local club, where I take part in varying events from small 5k runs to triathlons.”
“I have been teaching first aid and health care subjects for over 30 years and worked as an NHS clinician for 28 years.
I’m qualified as an emergency nurse, paramedic, advanced clinical practitioner and an independent prescriber. I currently teach students at a UK university where we promote self-reliance and knowledge around pre-hospital care.
My specialisms are outdoor first aid, remote and wilderness medicine, emergency care, minor illness, minor injury and pharmacology.”
“I am excited to take on my new role as a business admin apprentice embarking on a completely new career path having worked in the beauty industry in previous years.
I will be managing all administration processes and first aid course bookings, whilst also using my creativity to develop teaching and learning resources for schools and students.
During my spare time, I enjoy walking, reading and cooking Persian food, as well as spending time playing with my cats, Mayo and Mustard.”
