Level 3 Emergency First Aid for Schools
This one-day Level 3 Emergency First Aid for Schools course is designed to provide you with the emergency first aid skills to look after adults and children in a medical emergency. It is suitable for primary and secondary schools, colleges and further education institutions as well as those working with children and adults.

Our unique Act Fast First games and activities have been designed for you to leave our courses feeling highly skilled and confident first aiders and ready to act fast first in an emergency.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid for Schools qualification covers adult and child first aid in the following areas;
- Roles and Responsibilities of the first aider
- Minimising risk in an emergency situation
- Safe Accident Procedures
- Safe Airway Positions
- First aid for seizures
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of AEDs
- Dealing with Choking
- Treatment for bleeding and Shock
- Appropriate First Aid Kit Use
- Completing Accident Forms
Course Duration & Assessment: The qualification consists of one unit. The training and assessment typically consists of a one day (6+ hour) course leading to the qualification and students are assessed continuously by tutor observation of ‘real-life’ skills which have been benchmarked to National Occupational Standards.
This certificate is valid for three years. Certificate renewal is by completion of another Emergency First Aid for Schools training course.
