Level 2 Food Hygiene for the Outdoors
The Level 2 Award in Food Hygiene for the Outdoors is a practical, hands-on course that gives you the essential food safety knowledge needed to prepare, handle and serve food safely in outdoor environments. The course is accredited by the awarding body, ITC First, and the training ensures you meet the legal food hygiene requirements to cook outdoors.
Participants eat what they prepare during the food hygiene course, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the food they make while reinforcing safe food handling, outdoor cooking skills, and the value of sharing a meal together.
On the course, we also cover food contamination, temperature control, personal hygiene, safe food storage, cleaning and sanitation, allergen awareness and practical food safety procedures specifically adapted for outdoor settings.
